SOOO.. no baby yet. I'm looking forward to the day when this baby joins us. This week we had my brother-in-law's wedding. The ceremony was in Manti, and I was super nervous to drive down to the wedding thinking I might go into labor or something. I was fine, but my hands and feet looked like Minnie Mouse hands. It was a beautiful ceremony. I'm so glad I was able to make it.
That evening was the reception. I don't think I've gotten asked more baby questions in my LIFE! My stomach was like a magnet. I'm pretty sure that my shirt had handprints on it from everyone touching my stomach. The most common questions were:
1. "Are you just ready to have that baby?" "No. Not at all... I'm just so big I can't even sit down or walk around without having to pee my pants. I'm ready!"
2. "Do you know what your having?" - In my head, I was thinking, "Of course I do... I'm freaking 37 weeks pregnant!" But I had to be polite. So I kindly said, "Yep.. a boy!"
3. "Do you feel huge?" - Why would someone ask that questions? "Actually, no. I feel like my same ol' active self that can do anything I could do before I was pregnant. WHATEVER. I'm a house and I'm waddling around like a pig!"
4. "Are you excited?" My reply was always, "YES. I'm so excited. I cannot wait to meet my little boy. He's already my whole world!!!"
I got a lot of other questions, but these were probably the ones I got asked the most. Baby boy, I love you so much! Can you please come and join our family??
Ack, I completely sympathize. I love how everyone thinks that your belly is their play thing. I had my brother in laws wedding when I was 6 months along - I can only imagine the comments you got at 9 months! BTW, I am SO sorry I missed your shower! I ended up having to run a training for work that Saturday so I was unable to make it. I hope you had fun though! Good luck with delivery :)
